Black Cat Pirates

The Black Cat Pirates is a crew of mostly weak pirates – when compared to Luffy and Zoro – from East Blue. They serve as the main antagonist to Luffy and the other Straw Hats in the Syrup Village storyline. Their flag, the face of a black cat and crossbones, is largely reminiscent of the Jolly Roger visage, though their loyalty inspires no such connection. Perhaps knowing what their captain Kuro was planning in hindsight, they had no reason to be inspired at all.
