He was a member of Seven Warlords of the Sea and the second captain of Sun Pirates. Jinbe is a whale shark fish-man and a powerful master of Fish-Man Karate. Because of his humane and trustful personality that he commites to justice, residents of Fish Island call him a "boss." He met the Straw Hat Crew again on Fish Island and supressed a battle that New Fish-Man Pirates caused. He was invited to join the Straw Hat by Luffy, but he held it off until severing ties with Big Mom, and officially announced his status as a member of the crew after protecting the Sun Pirates from Big Mom's wrath.
