Usopp's father is the Red-Haired Pirates' marksman, and Usopp himself dreamed of becoming a brave warrior of the sea. He inherited his father's sharpshooting skills, and works as the crew's sniper. He's good at lying and bluffing, and he boasts a lot, but that sometimes comes in handy in battle. He's also clever with his fingers, and does well developing tools and weapons. Until Franky joined the crew, he was also in charge of repairing the ship.
Usopp's personality is cowardly and negative. There are many times when it seems he'll lose heart while on dangerous adventures or facing strong enemies, but he musters his courage, faces the challenge, and gets closer to being a brave warrior, one step at a time!
